Juli Bauer, blogger of PaleOMG.com and recipe extraordinaire, is coming to Austin THIS coming Monday, July 14th at 7 p.m. to CrossFit Central Burnet, and if you like good food and good jokes (who doesn’t?) you don’t want to miss it.
EVERYONE in the Austin community is invited to attend.
For those of you who are not familiar with Juli or PaleOMG, the highly-followed, sarcastically funny blogger released her second cookbook book this past month, The Paleo Kitchen in collaboration with George Bryant (Paleo foodie and blogger of CivilizedCavemanCooking.com), and within weeks of the book hitting the market, it has become a New York Time’s Bestseller.
Pumpkin waffles, Paleo Biscuits & Gravy, Sweet Plantain Guacamole, Creamy Pesto Chicken Salad, Loaded BBQ Sweet Potatoes, Hot Wings, The ‘Perfect Burger’, Orange Cream Smoothie and Honey Pistachio Ice Cream are just SOME of the delicious concoctions gracing the pages of the book.
Juli, based in Denver, has been on the road the past two weeks on her Cross-Country Book Tour, and CrossFit Central-Burnet is her pit-stop here in the heart of Texas before moving onto Houston the next day.
Come mix and mingle with other Austinites who enjoy good food, clean eating, wellness and having a good time.
Juli will give a short presentation, answer questions, get to know attendees, and sell and sign cookbooks.
What better way is there to kick off your week?
Even if you DON’T cook…let Juli inspire you that eating clean and delicious food IS possible…and there is at least ONE recipe from her book you can make (you have to try the No Bake Tropical Escape Cookies on page 271).
At one time, Juli, like many, did not think she could cook—or that she really liked to cook—either, until, one day, while she was working as a CrossFit coach at a box in Denver, the owner asked her to start writing a nutrition blog for the gym, and before she knew it, her blog PaleOMG was eventually born.
Here is her very first post from her PaleOMG site over three years ago:[FIRST POST]
Today, PaleOMG receives thousands of hits daily from people around the globe, looking for inspiration in the kitchen—or just a little humor in their day.
