Nutrition is the foundation of how you feel, perform, and look — it is a lifestyle. Understanding a few basics and making them a habit is the key to meeting your goals in and out of the gym! Whether you are new to CrossFit Central, a valued member ready to clean up their diet, or an athlete looking to take your performance to the next level -> this is for you!


Included in this 75 minute lifestyle nutrition session:
  • The basics of nutrition, including how to balance and why it is important to balance macronutritients (fat/protein/carbs) to feel your best and meet your goals.
  • How to make healthy nutrition a lifestyle and a habit that you enjoy
  • Personalized grocery list
  • Personalized timeline for meals and snacks based on your life
  • Introduction to key micronutrients to optimize your health and performance

About Lisa
Coach Lisa Bender Thiel lives by her mantra “YES, I Can! YES, You Can!” Lisa has fully overcome two eating disorders, earned thrived as a competitive athlete, is happily married to CrossFit Central founder Jeremy Thiel, and is a mother to a 2 and 5 year old! She embodies the “can do” spirit and desires to share this with the community. Lisa has a talent for helping others discover that they can achieve their dreams and overcome any obstacle!A CrossFit Central coach since 2009, Bender Thiel currently coaches CrossFit Central Downtown’s Women’s Only classes, and enjoys small group and private training. In addition, Bender Thiel hosts Nutrition Workshops for anyone interested in learning the tools she has used over the years to succeed.
Her determination and drive to meet her goals rubs off on everyone who works with Lisa. 

2018 Iron Belle
Aug 25 @ 8:00 am – 3:00 pm

The Iron Belle is a women’s only team competition designed for ALL women. This event is for the team of experienced competitive females as well as the team of women looking to try their very first competition.

The Iron Belle provides a vibrant, fun, and challenging environment for women to test themselves over the course of three workouts. All teams must work together to complete each event.

Iron Belle teams will take on three events throughout the day. The top five teams in Rx, Scaled, and Masters will advance to the finale.

9th Annual Iron Belle
Saturday, August 25th
Divisions: RX, Scaled, Masters 40+ and Girls
Girls Divisions include ages 9-11, 12-14, and 15-16

All teams are comprised of 4 women
Girls teams are comprised of 2 girls

Early Bird Registration (June 19th – July 22nd): $350
Registration (July 23rd – August 24th): $395
Girls Team Cost: $50

*100% of registration fees from the Girls Division will go to The Refuge, a non-profit organization that provides trauma-informed, long-term restoration shelter and services to girls 11-17 years old, who have been exploited through sex trafficking.

Division Descriptions

RX: RX athletes are able to do all movements, including pull-ups & handstand push-ups. They also can move 105# plus in all Olympic Lifts efficiently.

Scaled: Athletes who are new to the competition scene. They will be able to modify any gymnastic movements (such as jumping pull-ups for pull-ups). They also can move a 35-65# barbell in all Olympic movements.

Masters 40+: Athletes who are able to do pull ups, toes to bar, handstand push-up with 1 abmat, and move 75# plus in all Olympic Lifts efficiently.
