I've been a member for a little over 10 years! Carey is a good friend of mine and encouraged me to give CrossFit a try. I did and I immediately loved it! I liked the format and the variety of the workouts - we did something different every day.

I've always worked out, fitness has always been a part of my life. Prior to CrossFit Central I was working out at Lifetime Fitness and doing a lot of cardio - running, spin, etc. What I found after starting CrossFit is that the weightlifting component transfers to everything! Not only am I getting stronger, it made running and rowing easier too.

A big change for me came when I changed my diet. I worked with Carey on quantity and also experimenting with removing certain foods. This has been a game changer. When I started at CrossFit Central I was 157 lbs and 29% body fat. Now I’m 120 lbs. and 12% body fat. I am stronger, I have more energy and I feel great. I am more confident in my clothes, which is amazing! I also have a much stronger mindset, I know that I can do hard things.

During the onset of the first lockdown Carey and the coaches were such a motivator. They found ways to keep everyone moving at home. They continued to inspire.

I keep coming back to CrossFit Central because I want to feel good. I want to get stronger and keep my energy up! The support system at CrossFit Central is so great. If you’re not in class you have someone checking in on you and encouraging you.
